Important Information & Technology:  COVID-19 including Variants

…updated September 2024…

We are no longer asking patients to wear masks in our dental office however we will continue the assumption everyone is asymptomatic COVID-19 positive person and and will be following most of the strict guidelines we began on March 19, 2020 and have improved upon since will continue indefinitely.

We realize our patients have questions. As dedicated healthcare professionals, we want you to know that we remain as diligent as ever in protecting the health and safety of our patients and staff. Our practice strictly adheres to and exceeds the standards for infection control by wearing personal protective gear, using hospital-grade disinfectants, practicing the latest sterilization protocols, utilizing single-use disposable materials, and more. Every effort we have in place is to ensure the safety of our patients and staff. We want you to know that we are monitoring this situation closely, and we will keep this site updated.

In addition to these ongoing strict guidelines with regards to CDC mandates and “universal precautions”, we continue to utilize these advancing techniques with equipment added as an additional layer of safety to enhance our:

“Aerosol Safety Protocol”

Extra-oral Dental Suction System for Aerosols

We are confident this system is a great addition to our Aerosol Safety Protocol.” The ADS EOS extraoral dental suction system collects aerosols, droplets, dust and pathogens produced during routine dental procedures through a suction mouthpiece hood. Particulate matter is filtrated by the dust/particulate filter. The HEPA filter captures particles down to 0.3 microns with 99.995% efficiency. Clean dry air is exhausted from the base cabinet. The UVC lights are positioned on the HEPA filter and kill any remaining bacteria and viruses captured by the HEPA filter and are exhausted from the cabinet base.

DryShield All-in-One Isolation System

We are confident the DryShield, all-in-one isolation system is a product in ourAerosol Safety Protocol” for over two (2) years.  We have been using DryShield in all our operatory procedures from fillings, crowns, bridges, tooth extractions to other surgeries.  Now with the recent health changes in our world demanding aerosol control, we are efficient and skillful in the DryShield usage.  It is comfortable and relaxing for you, as the dental patient, to help stabilize your jaw and allow the evacuation system to reduce majority of airborne particles, including bacteria, viruses, blood, amalgam, tooth structure in an efficient and safe manner while protecting your cheek and tongue from injury and aspiration or swallowing of material.

We will continue to investigate proven techniques and equipment to further advance our “Aerosol Safety Protocol” and other infection control measures to facilitate the care and protection of both our patients and ourselves.

We thank you in advance and extend our gratitude for your understanding and cooperation. Together, we can help keep everyone as safe and healthy as possible.

Stay well, hydrate, eat nutritiously, and get plenty of sleep.

Dr. Mike and Dr. Janet
